Meet the Provider

Hi! My name is Felicia Gathings. I’m a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, close on a decade of experience. I graduated with my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and went on to complete a nurse practitioner certification and doctoral degree at the University of Southern Mississippi. In 2021, my services as a Nurse Practitioner allowed me and a colleague to be voted best counseling services in Columbus, MS. I’m an advocate for victims of intimate partner violence and use the trauma informed care approach when engaging patients with histories of trauma. Deep Connections Mental Health Services was created to help patients heal from past traumas and experiences. My doctoral project title was "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma Informed Care Training for Mental Health Nurses."
